Terms of Service.

By using castparrot you agree to these terms. They’re short on purpose. If anything below isn’t clear, email usand we’ll explain.

1. The service

castparrot is a studio that turns long audio and video episodes into transcripts, show notes, chapters, vertical clips, and social posts. It runs on third-party processors (Google OAuth, Cloudflare R2, Anthropic, Deepgram) listed in our privacy policy.

2. Beta status & limits

castparrot is in free beta. We cap usage to protect against runaway cost: five uploads per day and twenty uploads total per account during the trial period. These limits can change without notice. We may add a paid tier later; we will not silently charge an existing free account.

3. Your content

You own everything you upload. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display that content solely to deliver the service to you. We do not train models on your audio, do not sell your content, and do not share it with anyone outside the named processors in the privacy policy. When you delete an episode, we delete the stored audio and outputs within thirty days.

4. Acceptable use

Don’t upload audio you don’t have the right to process. Don’t use castparrot to harass, defame, or generate content that violates anyone’s rights. Don’t attempt to circumvent the upload limits. We will suspend accounts that abuse the service.

5. Account suspension

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms. You can close your own account by emailing hello@castparrot.com; we will delete your data within thirty days.

6. Disclaimer

castparrot is provided “as is.” AI outputs (transcripts, show notes, chapters, clips, social posts) are generated by third-party models and may be inaccurate. Review what we produce before you publish it. We disclaim warranties to the extent permitted by law.

7. Liability

Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of castparrot is capped at the greater of $50 USD or the fees you have paid us in the prior twelve months (currently zero, given the free beta). We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced via the email associated with your account at least seven days before they take effect.
